Board member Justin Springer, who served two tours in Iraq, speaks at the SSC annual event about his first-hand experience, in combat and later as a documentary film maker, observing the impact of one of the invisible injuries of war: traumatic brain injury. Mr. Springer's film, Along Recovery, features the story of four soldiers with this injury as they navigate healthcare options and life changes. Sullivan's experience as a springboard into discussions of process improvements in the military healthcare system.
